Keller Veterans Memorial Park

Keller Veterans Memorial ParkThe Keller Rotary Club coordinated with the city to procure the site of the Keller Veterans Memorial Park at the intersection of Main Street (US 377) and Keller Parkway (FM 1709). The club obtained services of an architect to design the park and then led the effort to raise the money to get it done.

The striking design incorporates six-foot tall standing marble pillars that are engraved with the names of every man or woman they could locate who entered the armed forces while a resident of the Keller area. The beautiful park setting includes benches, parking, landscaping, and a walkway that features engrave bricks that Rotarians sold as part of the fundraising effort. The memorial park was dedicated in the spring of 2006.Keller Veterans Memorial Park

The Keller Public Arts Board, partnering with the Keller Rotary Club, will commission a monument sized sculpture to honor the patriotism and service of those who have served in our military. Representations from three national renown artists have been presented to the citizens for a straw poll to select the design that will grace the Memorial Park. The Keller Rotary Club will conduct fundraising events and secure sponsorships in hopes of completing the installation and dedication of the scuplture by Veterans' Day, November 11, 2008.
